John Henry Shore

Yadkinville Mr. John Henry Shore, 83, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2017 at his home. Mr. Shore was born July 8, 1933 in Yadkin County to John Elsie and Ada Pinnix Shore. He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Deep Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Shore retired from Drexal Heritage Furniture Company after 44 years of service. He enjoyed fishing with family & friends and coaching baseball for 18 years for the Deep Creek community. In addition to his parents, Mr. Shore was preceded in death by two sons, infant Bobby John Shore and Tommy John Shore; and four brothers, Jack, Odell, Ezra, and Roger Shore. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Patricia Pitts Shore; two children, Marty Wayne (Kendra) Shore and Kendra Leann Shore; a daughter-in-law, Tammy Shore; five grandchildren, Travis (Dena) Shore, Jennifer (Will) Wooten, Hannah Shore, Eli Shore, and Trevor Liles; and one great grandchild, Lola Jane Shore. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Page officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00PM at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville.
