Parks Allen Ray

Yadkinville Mr. Parks Allen Ray, 72, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at his home. Mr. Ray was born May 21, 1944 in Wilkes County to Robert Parks and Gladys Mendenhall Ray. He was a member of Peace Haven Baptist Church. Mr. Ray retired from RJ Reynolds Tobacco Co. and enjoyed spending time in his garden. In addition to his parents, Mr. Ray was preceded in death by a brother, Gary Ray. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ann Marie Potts Ray; two sons, Michael Allen Ray and Jonathan Keith (Kathleen) Ray; three grandchildren, Sarah Katherine Ray, Anna Margarethe Ray, and Noah Keith Ray; and two sisters, Ann (Howard) Huffman and Kay (Ronnie) Johnson. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, March 25, 2017 at Deep Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Rick Page and Dr. Ron Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice SECU Hospice Home of Yadkin, 320 W.
