Hobert Junior Hall

Yadkinville Mr. Hobert Junior Hall, 90, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mr. Hall was born July 29, 1926 in Surry County to Governor and Mollie Marsh Hall. He was a member of Center UMC. He enjoyed playing the piano and singing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by his wife, Ilene "Sis" Holcomb Hall; a sister, Lorraine Pardue; and three brothers, Clarence, Leon and Glenn Hall. He is survived by two children, Mary Hall Bost and Dennis (Jane) Hall; grandchildren, Daphne Taylor, Heather Snodgrass, and Shawn Hall; a great grandchild, Joseph “DJ” Harker; three sisters, Lois Hess, Betty Templeton, and Shirley Short; a brother, Garland Hall; and a special friend, Colleen Sizemore. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Monday, March 27, 2017 at Center UMC with Rev. Bill Hale and Rev. Charlie Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B.
