Donald Ray Hepler

Yadkinville Donald Ray Hepler 81, of Yadkinville, passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. He was born in Yadkin County on September 11, 1935 to the late Forney Ray and Inis Anderson Hepler. Mr. Hepler was a member of Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness Church. He worked for Yadkin County Schools as a bus driver for 20 years after his retirement from Western Electric. He also worked for Adams Lumber Company for 2 to 3 years. Mr. Hepler was a loving, caring, and devoted person to all. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Cynthia Lynette Hepler, a sister Mary Hauser, a brother James Hepler, and by his father-in-law Gorrell W. Adams. He is survived by his wife of 56 years  Betty Adams Hepler, two sisters Helen Watkins and Ruth Owens, and several nieces and nephews. His funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Gentry Funeral  Chapel with ministers Alan Cuddi and Ron Berry. The family will receive friends Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 7:00-9:00pm at Gentry Family Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery.The family would like to thank the Mountain Valley Hospice in Dobson and the Mountain Valley Hospice in Yadkinville for all the loving care for Donald.
