Jacob Craig Steelman

Yadkinville Mr. Jacob “Jake” Craig Steelman, 21, passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his home. Jake was born January 23, 1996 in Forsyth County. He loved all animals, but chickens were his favorite. Jake loved to read, go camping, ride his bike, play on his computer, and go out to eat with his family. Jake was preceded in death by a brother, Ethan James Steelman; a grandfather, GL Steelman; and an uncle, George Steelman. He is survived by his parents, Valerie (Ronald) Cockerham and Craig (Susie) Steelman; a sister, Victoria Steelman; grandparents, Louise and Robert Allgood and Peggy Steelman; a step sister, Sarah Hauser; two step brothers, Casey and Steven Hauser; and an aunt, Lisa (Wayne) Jester. A funeral service celebrating Jake’s life will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Turners Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Jeffery Baity and Rev. Scott Welch officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church.
