Betty Myers Shore

Shore Yadkinville-  Mrs. Betty Myers Shore, 75, of Old Stage Road passed away Sunday, April 2, 2017 at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.  She was born February 2, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Sid and Mary Allgood Myers.  Mrs. Shore worked for several years as a supervisor with Bates Nitewear, R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, and in a cleaning service with her friend and neighbor, Lucille Shore.  She was a faithful member of Turners Creek Baptist Church, and was a loving, devoted, wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and neighbor in the Deep Creek Community of Yadkin County.  On December 22, 1961 she married, Charles Shore, who preceded her in death in 2009.  In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her daughter, Tina Louanne Shore; a sister, Charlotte Shore; and a brother David Myers.  Surviving are her beloved son, Charles Gray Shore, Winston-Salem; granddaughter, Madelyn Shore (Patrick), Mocksville; her brothers, Johnny (Carolyn) Myers, Isaac “Buzz” Allgood, all of Yadkinville; sisters, Bonnie (Steve) Williams, Darlene (Jackie) Jenkins; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  The family will receive friends from 10:30 -11:30 AM Tuesday at Turners Creek Baptist Church.  Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 11:30 AM Tuesday in the church with Pastor Scott Welch and Dr. John R.
