Alleene Dinkins Carter

Mrs. Alleene Dinkins Carter, 86, passed away, July 23, 2023. She was born August 26, 1936 to the late Henry and Arebelle Pettit Dinkins. She is survived by her son, Joe (Donna) Carter; grandson, Alan Carter (Amy Moore); granddaughter, Elizabeth (Sean) Moberly; sisters, Mary Reece, Shelby Bruce, Maebelle Carlton, Darnelle (John) Latham, Phyllis (Benny) Kimmer, Vivian (Michael) Lawson; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors that will miss her dearly. The family will receive friends, from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM, Thursday, July 27, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service. A graveside service will follow the visitation at 3:30 PM at Huntsville Methodist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Bob O’Keefe officiating. The family would like to thank the staff of Mtn. Valley Hospice and the staff of Brighton Gardens of Winston Salem for the loving care given to Alleene. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mtn. Valley Hospice, 243 N.
