Alma Pendry Shore

Winston Salem Mrs. Alma Jean Pendry Shore, 84, passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Shore was born May 23, 1934 in Yadkin County to Charlie and Teila Cook Pendry. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as well as traveling with the senior citizens groups. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shore was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by the father of her children, Jack B. Shore; two children, Diane Jacob and Ken (Marji) Shore; six grandchildren, Angela Register, Leann Jacob, Jake Jacob, Kortney (Tyler) Beam, Kelsey Shore, and Katie Shore; great grandchildren, Holden, Gracyn, Emmie, Tatayana, Katlyin, Dalton, Addison, Abbigail, and Allieyah; and one sister, Annie Lou Lynch. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Scott Welch officiating. Burial will follow at Turners Creek Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem, NC 27103. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Kate B.
