Amanda Adams Locklair, 40, of Lake City, passed away on Tuesday, April 8, 2025.
Amanda was born on April 2, 1985, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, and was daughter of Kenneth Wayne Adams and Carla Mangum Adams. She was raised in Yadkinville, NC. Amanda graduated from Forbush High School and carried with her the values of kindness, strength, and grace throughout her life. Amanda had a zest for life and a flair for fashion. She loved shopping, spending time with those she loved, and found peace being on a boat or near the water. Always stylish and full of personality, she had a gift for lighting up any room she entered. She was a valued member of the Kingstree News and Courier team and recently fulfilled a longtime dream by opening her own clothing boutique—a reflection of her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Amanda will be remembered for her warm heart, radiant smile, and the love she shared so freely with others.
Surviving in addition to her parents, are her husband, Ron Locklair of Lake City; children, Tatum and Brody; bonus children, Tori, Taylor, Tristin and Tyler; sisters, Stacy Adams (Joe) Williams and Christy (Michael) Doub; brother, Holden (Rebecca) Adams; aunts, Betty (Donald) Hepler, Angie (Jerry) Morris, Cathy (Joel) Reinhardt, Zackie Cherry; uncles, Gary Wall, Danny (Dawn) Mangum and Mark (Lucaya) Mangum; along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Zack (Doris) Mangum and Gorrell (Ella) Adams; aunt, Diane Wall; and bonus son, Trey Locklair.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be 3:00, Sunday, April 13, 2025, at Carolina Funeral Home Chapel, with burial to follow at Olanta Baptist Church Cemetery.
