Andrew David Brooks

Andrew David Brooks, 60, passed away on Wednesday February 10, 2021 at Maine Medical Center in Portland Maine. He was born on April 19, 1960 in Yadkin County, NC; son of the late; Bobby Glenn Brooks and Jo Ann Simpson Brooks. He is survived by his sister Shelia (Mike) Weathers, and nephews; Matthew Weathers and Brooks (Kelsey) Weathers. Andy attended Starmount High School, Wake Forest University and Medical College of Virginia. He loved the world of science and worked as a chemist in Westbrook, Maine. He was a gifted pianist, and in his earlier years played for the Old Fashion Gospel Trio alongside his Mother. A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11:00 am at West Yadkin Assembly of God in Hamptonville with Rev. Keith Stanley and Rev. Richard Odom officiating, and music by the West Yadkin Baptist Church Youth Ensemble. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SECU Hospice Care Center of Yadkin located at 243 N. Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC. The family would like to thank their relatives, church family and friends for their prayers, cards, and food during this time.
