Angela "Christine" Casstevens

Ms. Angela Christine Casstevens, 57, passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at SECU Hospice Care Center. Christine was born March 22, 1965 in Surry County to James Lee and Mable Steele Casstevens. She was very kind hearted and would help anyone who needed it. Christine was very full of life, funny, and a hard worker. She enjoyed watching baseball, basketball, softball and football. In addition to her father, Christine was preceded in death by a nephew, Cody Davis; and her grandparents, J. Lee and Ann Casstevens. She is survived by her mother, Mable Casstevens; two “children” whom she raised, Tamara Len Chamberlain and Courtney Christine Sloan; three sisters, Beverly Kay Casstevens (Teresa Brown), Virginia (James) Davis, and Kimberly Len McDaniel; nephews, Dakota Davis and Ethan Sizemore; an aunt, Dianne Casstevens; and special extended family, Noah Haughwout, Jacob Chamberlain, Jadyn Chamberlain, and Ann Clay. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Monday, June 20, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Eric Haughwout officiating. Burial will follow at Maranatha Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maranatha Baptist Church Missionary Fund, 3008 Maranatha Church Rd. Hamptonville, NC 27020. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of The Cancer Center of Mt. Airy and SECU Hospice Care Center for the loving care given to Christine.
