Annabell Beasley Hodges

Mt. Airy Ms. Martha “Annabell” Beasley Hodges, 88, passed away Tuesday, October 05, 2021 at Dunmore Plantation. Ms. Hodges was born October 8, 1932 in Surry County to Arthur and Maggie Lawson Beasley. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed serving her church. In addition to her parents, Ms. Hodges was preceded in death by a daughter, Donna Christine Thompson; a sister, Ruby Pruitt; and three brothers, Claude, Clarence and Paul Beasley. She is survived by two children, Aldon (Lory) Hodges and Jean Collins; a son-in-law, Billy Thompson; grandchildren, Brian (Sandy) Thompson, Richard (Kelly) Kidd, David (Christine) Kidd, and Charles (Robin) Collins; great grandchildren, Stacey, Beth, Savannah, Olivia, Cora, Audrey, Benson, and Nalah; two great-great grandchildren; a sister, Dot Brannock; a brother, Marvin (Glenda) Beasley; and a sister-in-law, Elsie Beasley. A Celebration of Life graveside service will be conducted at 11:00AM, Saturday October 9, 2021 at New Hope Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Trent Lyons officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church 818 Prison Camp Rd Dobson, NC 27017. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Mtn.
