Annie Ruth Collins

Collins Dobson – Annie Ruth Collins (Mamaw), 94, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at her daughter’s home. Mamaw Ruth was a faithful follower of Christ and a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother.  She was born March 9, 1924 in Yadkin County to the late Harvey Weldon Wagoner and Ola Vestal Wagoner.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, John Emory Collins; granddaughter, Sharon Holyfield; great grandchildren, Adam Matthews, Sara Bunke, and Philip Bunke; brother, Floyd Wagoner.  Surviving are her daughters, Mary (Ronald) Muncus, Carolyn (Roger) Holyfield; grandchildren, Chris (Donna) Muncus, Dawn (Chris) Matthews, and Rebecca (Paul) Bunke; great grandchildren, Kayla (Dusty) Collins, Garrett Matthews, P.J. Bunke, Joseph Bunke, Joshua Bunke, Caleb Bunke, Daniel Bunke, John David Bunke, and Josiah Bunke; two great great grandchildren.  Her funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Island Ford Baptist Church by Dr. Jerry Sizemore and the Rev. Paul Bunke.  Burial will follow at Boonville cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Island Ford Baptist on Saturday.  Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, PO Box 1267, Yadkinville, NC  27055.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Collins family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
