Yadkinville- Mrs. Annie Oliver Joyner, 78, of Rome Anthony Road passed away peacefully Monday, August 15, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born July 13, 1944 in Yadkin County to the late David Reece and Minnie Grace Dudley Oliver. Mrs. Joyner was retired with 32 years of service from Unifi, Inc. She then worked for over 10 years with the Yadkin County Schools Nutrition Department. She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church of Mocksville, and loved spending her time outdoors. She especially enjoyed the outdoors when it was either camping, mowing her yard, or specifically spending time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Shirley Oliver. Surviving are her loving husband of 27 years and had been together 45 years, Tommy Joyner, of the home; her sons, Jeff (Kelli) Wallace and Todd (Dottie) Wallace, all of Mocksville; step-daughter, Jennifer (Jimmy) Ransom; Grandchildren, Caleb Wallace, Claire Wallace; 2 step-grandchildren, Maggie Poole, McKenzie Barneycastle, Wake Ransom, Colby Ransom; a step-great-grandchild, Karsyn Parks; sister, Judy (Jerry) Kimmer; Brother-in-law, Dean (Vickie) Joyner; sister-in-law, Lou Ann (Bill) Reavis; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday, August 16, 2022 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Her funeral Service will be 11:00 AM Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church by Rev. Noel Hawks and Rev. Marvin Blackburn. She will lie in-state 30 minutes prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
