Archie Dean King

Archie Dean King, 77, received his Angel Wings Sunday December 16, 2018. He was born February 4, 1941 in Yadkin County to the late Miles Wheeler King and Martha DeEtte Rilley King. He was a member of Mt. View Baptist Church. He was a graduate of West Yadkin High School Class of 1959. Archie was an avid gardener and loved working with his flowers. He loved giving flowers to everyone. He loved painting and drawing. He enjoyed watching and traveling to see his daughters play sports. He was a good friend to many who knew him. He was preceded in death by his parents; the love of his life his wife Margaret Phyllis Mauldin King; three sisters Evaline King Moody, Patsy Van Hoy, Mary Lou King Williams; a brother Jimmy King. Surviving are two daughters Deana King, Melissa King; three brothers Leo (Katie) King, Allen (Shirley) King, Jack (Frances) King; several nieces, nephews and adopted kids. The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Tuesday December 18, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 11:00 AM Wednesday December 19, 2018 at Mountain View Baptist Church by Rev. Tim Tucker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Full Military Honors by the NC National Honor Guard and the VFW Post 10346. The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of Kindred Home Health and Yadkin Nursing Center for the loving care given to Mr. King. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.
