Arnie Gene Willard, 73, passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2020. He was born in Yadkin County to the late N. G. “Buddy” Willard and Elsie Combs Willard. Arnie attended Deep Creek Friends Meeting, he loved cooking Bar-B-Que, making wine from the grapes he grew and sharing them with his friends and neighbors.      

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Mary Wood Willard, daughter; Teresa “Jane” Cranfill of Boonville, son; Brian Willard of Clinton, SC, daughter; Jean (Adam) Hutchins of Yadkinville and son; Joshua Willard of Boonville, nine grandchildren; Rhonda (Ricky) Moran of Boonville, Ryan (Brittany) Willard of Clinton, SC, Victoria (Chris) Johnson of Traphill, Joshua “JJ” Willard, Jr. of Boonville, Wesley Willard of Clinton, SC, Brian Willard of Yadkinville, Noel Hutchins of Yadkinville, Kallie Willard of Boonville and Holly Hutchins of Yadkinville, sister in law; Janice Willard, nephew; Eric Willard, niece; Marsha Willard and six great grandchildren. Arnie was preceded in death, other than his parents, his brother; Foy G. Willard and a son; Brent Adams

The family will receive friends at the Gentry Family Funeral Service on Saturday, January 4, 2020 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. A celebration of life service will be held at Gentry Funeral Chapel 3:00 Sunday, January 5, 2020 with Pastor, Randy Quate and Brother, Lawrence Warden officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Nebo Church of Christ cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Josh Willard, Jr., Brian Willard, Wesley Willard, Ryan Willard, Brock Moran, Jared Willard, Chris Johnson and Eric Willard.

In lieu of flowers; memorials may be made to Mt. Nebo Church of Christ cemetery fund. C/O Allen Willard, 1132 Nebo Road, Boonville, NC 27011.
