Aubrey Lee Brown

Mr. Aubrey Lee Brown, 92, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021.  Mr. Brown was born August 23, 1929 in Yadkin County to Pet and Mamie Murphy Brown.  He served in the US Air Force, retiring after 20 years of service with rank of Master Sergeant.  Mr. Brown was a member of Longtown Methodist Church, and a member of the oldest Scottish Rites in Savannah, GA.  He was also a member of Solomon's Masonic Lodge #1 F.& A.M., and a loyal Trump supporter.  He enjoyed golfing and gardening. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Brown was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mozelle Brown; two sisters, Grace Miller and Nancy Shore; and two brothers, Aldon and Bill Brown.  He is survived by his children, Audrey (Jackie) Myers, Carol Kirk, Randy Brown, David (Joan) Brown; step children, Karen (Perry) Wagoner, Kathy (Tom) Gray, Ann (Robbie) Stokes, and Susan (Terry) Somers; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-three great grandchildren; and a sister, Brenda (Clark) Shore. 

A graveside service will be conducted at 12:00PM, Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Longtown Cemetery with Pastor Mark Smith officiating and full military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and US Air Force Honor Guard. He will be available for viewing at Gentry Funeral Service in Yadkinville from 10:30AM to 11:30AM prior to the graveside service. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Longtown Methodist Church Backpack Fund, 1416 Longtown Road Yadkinville, NC 27055.

The family wishes to thank the Tiffany, Ashley and the staff of the VA nursing Care Center for the loving care given to Mr. Brown.
