Austin Clayton Hobson

East BendAustin "Hob" Clayton Hobson, 22, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at his home. Austin was born April 25, 1995 in Yadkin County to Ricky Hobson and Benjie Windley. He enjoyed playing the bass guitar and listening to music. In addition to his parents, Austin is survived by his grandparents, ben Windley and Lynn Windley; a brother, Trevor Williamson; a sister, McKenna Haynes; uncles and aunts, Chuck (Amy) Hobson, Sherry (Ralph) Betz, Penny Metzger, Yul (Lisa) Bodenheimer, Justin Windley, and Robin Bodenheimer; and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jack and JoAnn Hobson. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Thursday, September 7, 2017 at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the church. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
