Avelene Wagoner Hayes

Hayes Hamptonville- Mrs. Avelene Wagoner Hayes, 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Rosewood Assisted Living of Harmony. Mrs. Hayes was born on September 10, 1936 in Yadkin County to the late Rich and Valena Groce Wagoner. She was a lifetime member of Swaims Baptist Church.  Mrs. Hayes was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John Ellis Hayes; and brother, Larry Wagoner; daughter-in-law, Anne W. Hayes.  She is survived by her son, Joel Hayes; granddaughter, Leigh Hayes; brothers, Gary (Kathy) Wagoner, Perry (Karen) Wagoner; sister-in-law, Nancy Wagoner.  Her graveside service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev.
