EAST BEND -  Mrs. Avonelle Dinkins Vestal, 92, passed away at Yadkin Nursing Center on Saturday April 23, 2022.  She was born May 13, 1929 and was the daughter of Delbert and Vera Dinkins.  Avonelle retired from the Yadkin Valley Economic Development District (YVEDDI) as Finance Officer, she served as Secretary/Treasurer of Richmond Hill Law School.  She was a faithful member of Forbush Friends Meeting and served on many committees as long as her health permitted her attendance.  She loved and enjoyed her Grandchildren and her GREAT Grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Hillary E. Vestal, her brother, Henry Dinkins, and granddaughter, Jeanna Brown.  She is survived by her daughter, Sandra (Dayton) Brown, her sons, Ray (Rhonda) Vestal and Sam (Sylvia) Vestal.  Grandchildren, Eugene (Lawanda) Brown, Jesse (Mandy) Brown, Marci (Kenny) Hamilin, Marti (Chris) Berrier, Erin and Amanda Vestal, Terry Payne and Todd Payne.  Eleven GreatGrands: Dallas, Megan, Carter, Joshua Brown, Kennedy, Eli Hamlin, Zack, Camryn, Karly, Kendyl Berrier, Lindsay (Josh) Merritt, and Jude Vestal.  Several nieces and nephews and a good friend, Bill Miller.  She also claimed Jason Scott, Morgan and Garrett Wishon as her Grandchildren as well.  There will be no formal visitation but Mrs. Vestal will be available for the public from 12-6 PM Tuesday at Gentry Family Funeral Service of East Bend.  A graveside service will be 11 AM Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at Forbush Friends Meeting by Rev. Mitchell See and Rev.
