Barbara Jean Duggins

Barbara Jean Duggins, 72, of Yadkinville passed away at Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson on April 30, 2023. She was born on May 5, 1950 to the late Aldine Jake and Laura Ruth Duggins in Stokes County. Barbara retired from Wake Forest Baptist Health with 42 years of service. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ricky Lee Duggins and a son Marcus Wayne Tuttle. Surviving are daughter Jennifer Tuttle Trivette; grandchildren Austin Wayne Tuttle and Emma Ruth Tuttle; two sisters Penny Duggins, Cindy Duggins; niece Misty (Tracy) Golding, nephew Jacob Duggins great nephew Connor Griffin. Barbara fought a short battle with cancer for the last 7 months, in that time she was under the care of some very special doctors and friends at Comprehensive Cancer Center, and recently under the care of Mt. Valley Hospice. Jennifer wants to thank Diane Marshall (Barbara’s best friend) and each and every person that has helped out in any way with the everyday care, transportation and support for Barbara Jean, she could not have done it without each of you. The family will receive friends from 1-2 Sunday May 7, 2023 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation at Gentry Family Chapel by Chaplain Mark Brown. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Duggins family.
