YADKINVILLE -  Barbara Jean Key Dudley, 81, of West Cherry Street passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family.  She was born September 10, 1942 in Cabarrus County to the late Paul and Alice Scarborough Key.  Ms Dudley worked several years at Cannon Mills and enjoyed playing different games and going dancing.  She received her degree in Early Childhood Development and worked several years with children.  She loved her family especially her grandchildren and enjoyed spending as much time with them as she was able.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son and daughter-in-law, Michael Layne Dudley and wife, Shelvy; granddaughter, Donna Dudley; sister, Cathy Grooms and her husband, Robert Grooms; and brothers, Hobert Key, Wayne Key, Jackie Key, Dennis Key; Sister-in-law, Latane Key; and brother-in-law, Danny James.   Surviving are her daughter, Alicia Mondragon; her grandchildren, Angela Mondragon, Jennifer Uriostegui, Miguel Ramos, Daniel Ramos, Juan Presa, Santana Presa, Dustin Dudley; and great-grandchildren, Monlea, Jahslyn, Jozie, Monroe, Dylan, George, Xavier, Cass; sister, Judy James; several nieces and nephews including her special niece, JJ; and her best friend, Leah.  Her Celebration of Life and a gathering of friends and family will be from 12:00 PM until on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at her home, 317 West Cherry Street, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
