Barbara Jean Dowell Kapp

Barbara Jean Dowell Kapp, 79, passed away Monday November 13, 2017. She was born June 25, 1938 in Iredell County to the late Jesse William and Bertha Mae Dowell. She was preceded in death by her parents; 1st husband Jesse Dwight Couch, 2nd husband Harold Gray Kapp; two sons Brian Couch, Ricky Couch; two sisters Inez Brown, Betty Sue Lynch; two brothers Harold Dean Dowell, J. W. Dowell. Surviving are a son Chris Couch; a daughter Anne Kavanagh; grandchildren Lauren Nixon, Matthew Nixon, Steven Couch; great grandchildren Wyatt Nixon, Avery Couch, Amanda Couch, Samantha Couch; a brother James Dowell. The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM Thursday November 16, 2017 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville. Her funeral will be conducted at 2:00 PM following the visitation in the chapel by Chaplain Mark Brown. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church Cemetery. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Kapp family.
