Barry Kent Wagoner, 80, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday June 22, 2024. He was born June 9, 1944 in Surry County to the late D.C. (Couchie) Wagoner and Elizabeth (Lib) Key Wagoner. He was a member of West Yadkin Baptist Church. Mr. Wagoner loved to do woodworking, reading, listening to beach music, and was a handyman. Barry worked for McLean Trucking for 21 years and also was owner and operator of Barry’s Pizza for six years. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Wayne Wagoner. Surviving are his wife Linda Mauldin Wagoner; children Kent (Debbie) Wagoner, Rodney (Ginger) Wagoner, Ginger (Jason) Hemric; grandchildren Megan (Adam) Gregory, Chanler Wagoner, Tristan Wagoner, Nathan Wagoner, Anna Wagoner, Grant Hemric, Kate Hemric, Chase Hemric; great grandchildren Ryder Gregory, Asher Gregory, Mazie Gregory, Daniel Mills; brothers Bobby Wagoner, Garry (Diane) Wagoner, Ricky (Sandy) Wagoner; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Thursday June 27, 2024 at West Yadkin Baptist Church. Memorial service will be conducted at 12:00 PM following the visitation at the church by Dr. Craig Edwards and Rev. Kenny Gooden. The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff at Novant Health ICU at Forsyth Medical Center for the loving care given to Mr. Wagoner. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Wagoner family.
