Ben Lee Silvers

Silvers Boonville-  Mr. Ben Lee Silvers, 68, of Blackhawk Drive passed away peacefully Monday April 24, 2017 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  He was born October 10, 1948 in Burnsville, NC  to the late Junior and Linda Hylemon Silvers.  Mr. Silvers was retired from Johnson Controls, was a member of North Oak Ridge Baptist Church, and a veteran of the US Navy serving in the Vietnam War.  He loved to fish and enjoyed the time he spent at Waffle House talking with his friends.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Juanita Edwards and two brothers, Arnold Silvers, J.B. Silvers.  Surviving are his beloved wife of 43 years, Linda Brown Silvers, of the home; his children, Chris (Tanya) Thompson, Jason (Christina) Silvers; grandchildren, Jamie (Austin) Kilby, Carlie Silvers, Avery Thompson, Grayson Silvers; great-granddaughter, Olivia Kilby; sister, Annie Mae Radford; brother Wade (Lisa) Silvers; and brother-in-law, Phil Edwards.  The family will receive  friends from 6-8 PM Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.  A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Friday in North Oak Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev.
