Mrs. Betty Parker Hutchens, 92, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Betty was born June 22, 1928 in Yadkin County to Sallie Bet and Simon Parker. Betty loved being outside and working in the yard and loved her flowers. She also adored her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is now going home to be with the love of her life, Fred Clinton Hutchens and her Lord. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred Clinton Hutchens, a daughter Christine Hutchens; one sister Mary Parker Hamilton; six brothers Anthony “Tony” Wilson Parker, Fred Edward “Ed” Parker, Thad Dearl “Pete” Parker, Richard Gray “Dick” Parker, Walter Max Parker, James Luther “Dood” Parker. She is survived by one sister Wanda Ann Parker Cockerham; her daughter Marquitta Hutchens Pardue; her son Freddy Dearl (Gina) Hutchens; two grandchildren Brittany (Austin) Groce, Garrett (Meghan) Hutchens; two great grandchildren Brexli Pearl Groce and Daxtin Dearl Groce. Betty will lie in state from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM on Friday October 2, 2020 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in East Bend. A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Friday October 2, 2020 at Charity Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev Marty Nixon. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Betty P.
