Betty Martin Matthews

Betty Martin Matthews, 83, passed away Saturday January 13, 2018. She was born May 12, 1934 to the late Will and Heather Fulp Murray. She loved working in the garden and in her flowers as long as her health permitted. She was preceded in death by her parents; her adopted parents John and Chattie Martin, three sister, five brothers, niece Linda Phyllis, nephew William Lee (Leroy) Matthews. Surviving are her daughter Ramona Sue Matthews, of the home; one special nephew Jimmy Matthews; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2-3 PM Monday January 15, 2018 at Gentry Family Funeral service in Yadkinville. Funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM following the visitation in the Gentry Family Chapel by Rev. Bob Choplin and Rev. Nelson Puffenburger. Burial will follow at Union Cross Friends Cemetery.
