Betty Arnold Nelson

Hamptonville Mrs. Betty Jane Arnold Nelson, 79, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Nelson was born August 29, 1937 in Yadkin County to Henry and Margaret Ford Arnold. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by her husband, Charlie David Nelson; a grandson, Kenneth Lee Renegar, Jr.; four sisters, Lula Colbert, Lizzie Cook, Alice Arnold, and Ruby Blackburn; and four brothers, Calloway, Henry, John, and Lee Arnold. She is survived by four children, Margaret (Wayne) Hutchens, Brenda (Randy) Wagoner, Nancy (Monty) Crouse and Ann Nelson (Billy Brown); nine grandchildren, Misty Terry, Billy (Ashley) Queen, Bobbi (Tootie) Groves, David (Mindy) Renegar, Bradley (Chrissy) Renegar, Candice (Zane) Shore, Nathan Hutchens, Ceth Crouse, and Cooper Crouse; sixteen great grandchildren, Cameron Renegar, Luke Terry, Cole Terry, Dylan Terry, Hayden Queen, Brayden Helton, Megan Helton, Ashton Groves, Maston Renegar, McKendal Renegar, Mavery Renegar, Bryson Renegar, Kayleigh Renegar, Emerson Shore, Jordan Hutchens, Natalie Hutchens; one sister, Mary Randleman; one brother, Charlie (Kay) Arnold; special friends, Kenneth Renegar and John W. Gregory; and four feathered companions, Sunshine, Tom, Salt, and Pepper. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Wilkes Faith Church with Pastor Bobby Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Woltz Hospice Home, 924 Zephyr Road Dobson, NC 27017.
