Betty Hennings Shoffner

Betty Hennings Shoffner passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Novant Clemmons Medical Center at the age of 77. She was born in Forsyth County on December 26, 1943 and was the daughter of the late Lee Hunter and Pearl Mitchell Hunter.  She is precessed in death by a brother; Harvey Lee Hunter and grandson, Daniel Lee Hennings. Betty is survived by her daughter, Dawn Hennings, a son, Landon Hennings, a niece; Robin Mummert, a sister; Pasty Tuttle, three granddaughters; Laykin, Kayla and Sara, great nephews; Landon and Travis Mummert, the little loves of her life, Luke and Levi Mummert and a best friend of many years, Wanda Belcher.  She loved working in her flowers, having breakfast with her friends and spending time with her loving family. A celebration of life service will be conducted Sunday, September 19, 2021 at 5:00 pm at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Tim Jones officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:00 pm Sunday at Gentry Family Funeral Service. A special thanks to the Staff of Novant Clemmons Medical Center for the wonderful care she received.
