Betty Waddell Wagoner

Jonesville – Mrs. Betty Waddell Wagoner, 85, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 8, 2023.  Betty was born on May 27, 1938 in Surry County to the late Eli and Mae Marsh Waddell.  In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Sam Waddell and sister, Ann Calloway.  She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, Alfred Wagoner; daughter, Gwen (Tim) Wolfe; grandsons, Matt (Ashleigh) Wolfe and Phil (Ruth) Wolfe; great grandchildren, Gabe, Kathleen, Flynn and Norah; brothers, Jack (Wanda) Waddell and Billy (Jan) Waddell and numerous nieces and nephews.  Her funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Arlington First Baptist Church, 345 S. Main Street, Jonesville, NC  28642 by the Rev. Chris Alford, the Rev. Matty Ponce De Leon, and the Rev. Tim Wolfe.  Burial in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 12, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville.  The family would like to thank the staff at Trinity Elms Skilled Nursing in Clemmons, NC for the loving care given to Mrs. Wagoner.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Wagoner family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
