Beulah Mae Collins Warden

Yadkinville Mrs. Beulah Mae Collins Warden, 91, passed away Friday, July 20, 2018 at Yadkin Nursing Center. Mrs. Warden was born January 12, 1927 in Yadkin County to Thomas and Cora Speer Collins. She was a member of Deep Creek Friends Meeting. Mrs. Warden enjoyed sewing, was an excellent cook, and she loved to read. She worked at Yadkinville in the lunchroom, was a custodian for Farm Bureau in Yadkinville and East Bend, custodian for Yadkinville Methodist Church and Deep Creek Friends Meeting, and also Attorney Randleman’s office. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Warden was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Bennett Warden; a son, David Warden; a daughter, Katherine Davis; a son-in-law, John K. Davis; two sisters, Betty Cheek and Annie Pearl Warden; and three brothers, Joshua, Warren, and Thomas Collins. She is survived by two children, Vivian (Steve) Newman, and Keith (Priscilla) Warden; six grandchildren, Ryan (Lindy) Mathis, Randy (Leslie) Mathis, Natalie (Richard) Denny, John (Melanie) Newman, Stephen (Sara) Warden, and Jody Warden; nine great grandchildren, Jacob, Laney, Reece, Kinsley, Landon, Madison, Emily, Wesley, and Dakota; one special sister, Mary Grey Evans; three brothers, Bruce Collins, Bobby Collins, and Roger (Mary Jane) Collins; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00PM, Sunday July 22, 2018 at Gentry Family Chapel with Pastor Randy Quate officiating. Burial will follow at Deep Creek Friends Meeting cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Deep Creek Friends Meeting, 2245 Shore Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055.
