Yadkinville – Billie Perdue Healy, 89, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022. She was born in Braselton, GA on March 21, 1933 to the late William Boyce and Osta Higgins Perdue. She and her husband, Jerry, lived in Buford and Gainesville, Georgia, and Mount Airy, Winston-Salem, and Yadkinville, North Carolina, through the years. While her children were young, she was a stay-at-home wife and mother. Later she worked for Crown Drugs, Maxway, and Food Fair in Yadkinville. Billie was a generous soul and a gifted painter. She loved babies and animals. She would often say she was talking with Jesus and Jerry. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Patrick Healy; brother, Ralph Henry Perdue; sisters, Minnie Lee Godfrey, Betty Nell Cronic, and Nellie Faye Shaffer. She is survived by her children, Patricia Healy Gambrell (Edward), Karen Healy Carver (Fred), Louis Morris Healy (Katherine), and Gregory Boyce Healy (Angela). She adored and cherished her 12 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Ray Perdue and Stanley Perdue. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Trinity Elms Assisted Living and SECU Hospice Care Center for the loving care given to Mrs. Healy. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 AM Monday, July 25, 2022 with the rosary being recited at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville followed by a Requiem Mass at 10:00 AM Monday at Gentry Family Chapel by the Rev. Father James Hewko. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. Flowers will be accepted or memorials can be made to SECU Hospice Care, 243 North Lee Ave., Yadkinville, NC 27055.
