Billy Wayne Mundy

Yadkinville – Billy Wayne Mundy, 83, passed away peacefully Sunday, June 9, 2024 surrounded by his family at his daughter’s home.  He was born July 5, 1940 in Yadkin County to the late Avery Mundy and Estelle Norman Mundy.  Billy retired from RJR in 1995 after working there for 25 years.   He enjoyed going to the beach, gardening, and yard work.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Jane Sutphin Mundy; sisters, Ann Wooten, Marjorie Welch.  He is survived by his daughters, Angel (Randy Sizemore) Saggus, Christi (Anthony) Whitaker; grandchildren, Payton Foster, Caleb Foster; brother, Robert Mundy.  His funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Friday, June 14, 2024 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by the Rev. Scott Welch.  Burial will follow at Courtney Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Friday from 3:00 to 4:00 PM at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville.   The family would like to thank his grandson, Payton for being his caregiver the last five months.  Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Mundy family.  Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
