Billy Ray Wyatt

East Bend Mr. Billy Ray Wyatt, 63, passed away Thursday, April 21, 2022 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Billy was born June 18, 1958 in Yadkin County to Billy and Julia Hutchens Wyatt. He was a veteran of the US Air Force, having joined in 1980 and was stationed at the ICBM Missile Silo in Kansas. Billy graduated from Winston Salem State University and worked for IBM in New York State for several years. He also worked for the New York State Tax Office before retiring and returning back to NC. In addition to his mother, Billy was preceded in death by his step mother, Betty Jo Wyatt; and his brother, Noel Lee Hutchens. He is survived by his father; his wife of 8 years, Deborah Gaus Wyatt; three step children, Jason Regimbald, Laura Becker, and Karen (John) D’Amico; a grandchild, Averie Becker; a brother, Garry (Betty) Wyatt; step sisters, Judy Dickens and Sarah Jane (Joey) Boles and two nephews, Jamie (Shannon) Hutchens and Michael (Metta) Hutchens. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Sunday, April 24, 2022 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Pastor Chad Shoaf and Pastor Chris Hauser officiating. Burial will follow at Baltimore UMC cemetery with full military honors provided by Yadkin VFW Post 10346 and US Air Force Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
