Blanche Pardue Neal

January 2, 1931 — July 12, 2023

Mrs. Blanche Pardue Neal, 92, passed away peacefully, July 12, 2023. She was born January 2, 1931 to the late Welton and Alma Caudle Pardue. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years, Dewey Neal; her brothers, Grayford Pardue, Dr. Ralph Pardue, and her sister Annie Pearl Hall, her nephew, Dr. Edward Pardue, and her niece Wanda H. Leopard. Mrs. Neal was a member of Center Global Methodist Church, where she was a faithful member until her health wouldn’t allow her to attend. Blanche loved reading her Bible daily and she had read the Bible completely through from Gensis to Revelation over 40 times. She loved good food, and in her early years, she loved water sports from waterskiing on one ski to anything to do with being at the lake. She enjoyed bowling and was involved with bowling leagues, quilting, and loved traveling until her health wouldn’t allow her to. Blanche was a member of the UMW for many years, VFW Auxiliary, Senior Choir of Yadkin County, and was a choir member at Center Methodist. She was not blessed with her own children, but she was blessed with Dewey’s children, whom she loved as her own; Robert (Janet) Neal, Annette (Ed) Cross; step-grandchildren, Joseph Neal, Walter (Heather) Neal, Abigail Cross; special nieces, and nephew, who cared for her when she became unable to care for herself; Margie H. (Robert) Hudler, Debbie H. (Randy) Matthews, Tony L. (Jane) Hall; and several nieces and nephews. Blanche loved the Lord Jesus Christ and her final words were, “tell everybody I love them”. Mrs. Neal’s funeral service will be Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Center Global Methodist Church with Rev. Rex Cranfill officiating. Burial will follow in Center Memorial Cemetery. Mrs. Neal will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Center Global Methodist Church Flag Fund or the Building and Renovation Fund, 1400 Center Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to thank Blanche’s home care aids, Mechelle Harrison, Nancy Walls; special friends, Barbara W. Gentry, Lynn Newman, Dr. Arnez and Yadkin Nursing Center staff and Dr. Joanie Williams (who was Blanches longtime care provider) for their loving care, kindness and friendship. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Neal family.
