Bobby Gray Brooks

Boonville Mr. Bobby Gray Brooks, 76, passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Brooks was born July 4, 1942 in Yadkin County to Robert and Hallie Yarborough Brooks. He was a member of Marler Road Baptist Church and enjoyed his horses, mustangs, and fishing. In addition to his parents, Mr. Brooks was preceded in death by his wife, Pansy Brown Brooks; a son, Tony Gray Brooks; two sisters, Katherine Stone and Betty Jean Evans; and a brother, Bud Roberts. He is survived by four children, Tammy (Bobby) Conley, Tarinda (Andy) Chappell, Steve (Michele) Brooks, and Tonya (Dusty) Wilkins; grandchildren, Kali (Corey) Moore, Trey Brooks, Amber (Josh) Prince, Chaysen (Alyssa) Brooks, Dustin Conley, Maegan (Derek) Woody, Drew Chappell, Walker Wilkins, and Kayde Brooks; six great grandchildren; fiancée, Jenny Case and her children, Leigh (Jason) Freed and Angie (Chris) Martin and her grandchildren, Madison, Kyndale, & Morgan Martin and Zach, Maggie, Emma & Cole Freed; sisters, Sue (Larry) Andrews, Jackie (Ralph) Hobson, Linda Ray Spicer, and Gladys Carter; and a brother, Sammy (Betty) Brooks. A funeral service will be conducted at 4:00PM, Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Marler Road Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Johnson and Rev. Mark Hollar officiating. Burial will follow at Charity Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00PM prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Marler Road Baptist Church, 4433 Collins Road Hamptonville, NC 27020.
