Bobby Gray Cranfill, 83, of Hamptonville passed away Friday May 17, 2019 at Yadkin Nursing Center. He was born in Yadkin county, NC on November 7, 1935; son of the late John Henry Cranfill and Nora Bell Cranfill. Bobby was a life time member of Flat Rock Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon for many years and attended until October of 2018, also, a member of the Board of Directors at Yadkin Valley Telephone for 32 years, the owner and operator of B & J Farms from 1972 till he sold in 1998 and Flat Rock Baptist Church Cemetery committee for 8 years. Survivors include his wife of 62 years; Margaret Creed Cranfill, a daughter, Kim Vagharfard (Hassan) and three grandchildren, Mojtaba, Somayyah and Maryam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Joe and Ed Cranfill and two sisters; Grace Hemrick and Dorcas Thomasson. A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday, May 25, 2019 at 3:00 pm from Flat Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Joey Tomlin officiating. Burial will follow in church cemetery.
