Bobby Wayne Edwards

Mr. Bobby Wayne Edwards, 51, passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024. He was born October 19, 1972 in Surry County to Henry William Edwards and Nedra Ann Mayes Edwards. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nedra Ann Mayes Edwards, and a brother-in-law, Dwayne Byrd. Bobby enjoyed going fishing, going to drag races with his dad, and he loved anything that went fast. He also loved watching old cartoons and he especially loved watching The 3 Stooges. He is survived by his father, Henry (Luann) Edwards; sisters, Nina Byrd, Crystal (Brad) Brindle; brothers, Allen (Susan) Edwards, Tommy Edwards; grandmother, Hassie Jarrell; special aunt Shirley “MeMa” Payne; aunt, Gloria Edwards; uncles, Lester Edwards, Bobby Edwards; nieces and nephews, Aaron, Ricky, Serina, Belle, MyKinna, Gracie, Zeb, William; and his faithful K9 companion “Pretty Boy” and several great nieces and great nephews. There will be a private family celebration of life at a later date. The family would like to thank the staff of Wake Forest Baptist Hospital for the loving care shown to Bobby and his family. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville is serving the Edwards family.
