Bobby Gray Evans

Bobby Gray Evans, 82, passed away Wednesday October 23, 2024. He was born March 9, 1942 in Yadkin County to the late Marvin Edward Evans and Beulah Shore Evans. Mr. Evans worked for Chatham Manufacturing for 40 years. Bobby enjoyed camping, farming, gardening, and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Rachel Hutchens Evans; brother Charles Evans; grandson Tyler Reavis; niece Pam Smith. Surviving are his wife Earline Goin Evans; daughters Sharon Buelin, Sheila (Keith) Reavis; step daughter Candice Brown; grandchildren Kayla Minton (Steven Kirkpatrick), Megan Buelin, Kinsey Reavis; great grandchildren Cassidy Minton, Brooklyn Minton; sister Betty (Don) Church; nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Saturday October 26, 2024 at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. His funeral will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday October 27, 2024 at Longtown United Methodist Church by Pastor Mark Smith, friend Steve Swaim. He will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Longtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Longtown United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund 1416 Longtown Rd, Yadkinville, NC 27055. The family would like to say a very special thanks to Amy Payne, Stacy Eldridge, Michael Wood, Logen Sizemore and the staff of Palliative Care Forsyth Hospital and Mountain Valley Hospice for the loving care given to Mr. Evans and family.
