Hamptonville-  Mr. Bobby Wesley “Bob” Gregory, 77, of Wiles Road passed away peacefully Thursday, December 6, 2018.  He was born December 4, 1941 in Wilkes County to the late Colonel and Ada Souther Gregory.  Mr. Gregory worked as a truck driver, worked several years in law enforcement with the Wilkes County Sheriffs Office as Chief Deputy and with the Presidential Task Force.  He was of the Baptist Faith and in addition to his parents, was preceded in death by his 2 sisters, Estelle Shatley, Louise Shore; and by 3 brothers, Ralph, Walter, and Bill Gregory.  Surviving are  his wife of 11 years, Janie Randleman Johnson Gregory, of the home; his children, Wesley Gregory, Barbara Blackburn, Janet Holcomb, Penny Money, Kevin Gregory, Chris Gregory, Dustin Gregory, Amy Gorry; step-daughter, Becky Johnson Doss; 2 sisters, Mary Tart, Sarah Richards; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.  The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday at Shady Grove Baptist Church in the Windy Gap Community of Wilkes County.  His funeral service will follow the visitation in Shady Grove Baptist Church by Rev.
