Bobby Gray Hinshaw

Yadkinville-Mr. Bobby Gray Hinshaw, 87, of Yadkinville, passed away peacefully Friday, August 27, 2021 surrounded by his family at Liberty Nursing Home. He was born in Yadkin County on June 1, 1934 to Oscar Gorrell and Florence Alice Hobson Hinshaw. He was a retired employee with RJR Archer with 20 years of service. He was a member of Union Cross Friends Church and was a veteran of the US Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers Steve Hinshaw, Pete Hinshaw, and Rex Hinshaw; sisters Ruby Nell Benton, Betty Trivette, Joyce Jester, and Wanda Cass. Surviving are his wife, Clara Brown Hinshaw of the home; daughters, Torri Sue Hinshaw and Sonja Mia Church; two brothers, Bruce (Pat) Hinshaw and Gary “Jim” (Belva) Hinshaw of East Bend; two grandchildren, Hanna (Nevin) Johnson and Amber Church of Ferguson; a great-grandson, Callum Johnson of North Wilkesboro, His funeral service will be held on Monday, August 30, 2021 at 11:00AM at Union Cross Friends Church with Dr. Robin Dixon officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 prior to the funeral service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the Yadkin VFW Post #10346 and the NC Memorial Honor Guard. The family would like to ask any co-workers of Bobby’s at RJR Archer to serve as honorary pallbearers at the funeral service.
