Boonville – Bobby Gray Norman, 86, passed away February 28, 2022 after an extended illness of dementia. He was born February 17, 1936 to the late Everette Clyde and Opal Vestal Norman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Nellie Sue Forrester. Surviving to cherish his memory is his bride of 63 years Aladene Stinson Norman; sons, Gregory Gray Norman (Dawn), Lorne Van “L.V.” Norman (Kevin); granddaughter, Chelsea Lake Norman; brother, Jim Norman (Sandi); and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Norman worked 40 years for Wake Forest University, working his way from carpenter to Facility Management, but enjoyed farming and riding his tractor. Bobby was a simple and kind man willing to help anyone who needed it. He loved his family and considered Kevin his third son. He was a faithful member of Charity Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and building maintenance. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Charity Baptist Church by the Rev. Marty Nixon and the Rev. Eddie Driver. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with full military honors by the Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Saturday at Charity Baptist Church. Memorials can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 243 N.
