Bonnie Dinkins Allen

Yadkinville Mrs. Bonnie Leigh Dinkins Allen, 83, passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. Mrs. Allen was born August 28, 1936 in Yadkin County to Charlie and Maude Russell Dinkins. She was a member of Courtney Baptist Church and retired from the school system. Mrs. Allen enjoyed playing golf, softball, and basketball in her younger years and was an avid Duke fan. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her husband, William Aldean Allen; a daughter, Diane Allen; and infant sister; two infant brothers; and brothers, Claude, Eugene, and Harold Dinkins. She is survived by two sons, Ricky (Kathy) Allen and Timmy (Brenda) Allen; grandchildren, Tiffany (Shawn) Linville, Cloie (Shawn) Herold, and Jason (Marie) Allen; great grandchildren, Dwayne, Chloe, Chanel, Bryson and Case; one brother, Wayne (Patty) Dinkins; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Jimmy Lancaster officiating. Burial will follow at Yadkin Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00PM Friday evening at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home 101 Hospice Lane Winston Salem NC 27103. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Kate B.
