Brenda Fox Houston

Mrs. Brenda Fox Houston of East Bend, 80, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2024. She was born October 8, 1943 in Pocahontas, Virginia to the late Andy and Danie Alice Baldwin Fox. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Robert Houston Sr.; a son, Harry Houston Jr.; her siblings, William James Fox, Lovey Ann Fox, Violet Louise Fox, Dessie May Fox, Grace Wanda Compton, Loraine F. Fox, George Max Fox, Ezra Marce Fox, Geraldine Jerri Testerman, Rae Dunmon, Greta Dixie Fox. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Tara) Houston, Joe Houston; grandchildren, Kimberly (Paul) Wood, Emily Houston, Hannah Houston, Brandon Houston; great-grandchild, Catherine Grace Carswell, and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Houston enjoyed cross stitching, painting, and all arts and crafts. She was a great cook and dearly loved her family and friends, and also, she enjoyed time with family and friends. The family will receive friends at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville, Sunday, January 28, 2024 from 1:00 PM till 2:15 PM. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:30 PM in the Gentry Family Chapel with Rev. Julie Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Yadkin Nursing Care Center and the staff of Liberty Hospice for the loving care shown to Brenda. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Houston family.
