Bruce Ray Hobson

Bruce Ray Hobson, 77, died Thursday, March 23, 2023. He was born in Yadkin County on January 17, 1946 to Jasper David and Nancy Margaret Frye Hobson. Bruce was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Willie Gray Hobson, and Ralph Hobson. He was a resident of the Murdoch Center for 53 years. Bruce faced the challenges of his life with the utmost integrity, drive, and determination. He was happiest on a car ride, in a swimming pool or just enjoying the outdoors. Surviving are a sister, Ruby H (Bill) Sprinkle; a brother David W. Hobson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, March 27, 2023 at Gentry Family Chapel at 2:00PM with Pastor Grady Trivette officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM prior to the funeral service. Burial will follow at the Forbush Baptist Church Cemetery. Online condolences may be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
