Buddy was born in Yadkin County on September 22, 1937, to the late Richard D. Moxley and Nancy Pruitt Moxley. He was an active member of Lindley Park Baptist Church and later Friendly Avenue Baptist Church, and he loved to sing in the choir. After retirement, Buddy and Rosalee moved back to the Fax Brown farm in Yadkin County, where they became active members in North Oak Ridge Baptist Church—the same Church in which they grew up and were married. In addition to his parents, Buddy was preceded in death by three brothers, R.D. Moxley, Eldon Moxley and Steve Moxley. He is survived by his brother, Larry (Becky) Moxley, and four sisters, Pat Shaffner, Betty (Ted) Wilson, Shirley Campbell, and Kathy (Vaughn) Benton, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
