Canzis Sales Tidline

Boonville Mrs. Canzis Lavern Sales Tidline, 87, passed away Friday, February 10, 2023 at her home. Mrs. Tidline was born February 6, 1936 in Surry County to Charlie and Nina Gadberry Sales. She was a dedicated member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Women’s’ Auxiliary. Mrs. Tidline was also a member of the Yadkinnites Eastern Star, and worked at Astoria Braid and Elkin Valley Apparel. Mrs. Tidline loved to sew, cook, sing, and work in her flower garden. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tidline was preceded in death by her husband, Roscoe Ray Tidline, Sr.; two sons, Eric Tidline and Roscoe Tidline, Jr.; a daughter, Cynthia Tidline; a granddaughter, Willisa Tidline; a grandson, Elliott Tidline; and brothers, Clyde, Vance, Roy & Troy Sales. She is survived by two daughters, Ivy Waring and Lisha Tidline; daughter-in-law, Lillian Tidline; grandchildren, Alissa (Jermaine) Dalton, Caroline Tidline, Roscoe Tidline, III, Blake Carter, Vanessa Manns, and Scarlet (Yancey) Owens; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sisters, Cora Lee Wallace, Joanner Mae Porter, Ella Ruth Green; and a special aunt, Imogene Boles; and a host of nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Boonville United Methodist Church with Rev. Mitchell Little officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM, prior to the service in the church. Burial will follow in Clarks Memorial Baptist Church cemetery. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Amedisys Hospice for the loving care given to Mrs. Tidline.
