Lewisville Mr. Carl Ray Keaton, Sr., 71, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019 at his home. Mr. Keaton was born November 10, 1947 in Davie County to the late Carlye and Virginia Norman Keaton. He was a veteran of the US Army, having served during the Vietnam War. Mr. Keaton enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, camping, and shooting. Mr. Keaton is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Monica McBride Keaton; two children, Tina Keaton (Sid) and Carl Keaton Jr. (Kim); grandchildren, Summer Lashley, James Charles, Zack Ridings, and Jacob Penley; two sisters, Faye Flynn and Linda Hanes; and two brothers, Tim Keaton (Kay) and Jimmy Keaton. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Thursday, March 28, 2019 at Gentry Family Chapel. Entombment will follow at Westlawn Gardens of Memory in Clemmons with full military honors provided by NC National Guard Honor Guard and Yadkin VFW Post 10346. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM, prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the WG Hefner VA Medical Center, 1695 Kernersville Medical Parkway, Kernersville, NC 27284 to assist disabled veterans in their time of need.
