Mrs. Carolyn Jane Maranville Choplin, 76, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2024. She was born August 2, 1947 in Forsyth County to the late James Harvey Maranville Jr., and Ila Mae Ward Maranville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Michael Choplin. She was a dedicated member of Grace Baptist Church. After working in the medical field for several years, she retired from Senior Care PA in Winston Salem. Carolyn was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Nana. She had a vivacious personality and always made people around her laugh. She is survived by her children, James (Missy) Choplin, Jennifer (Mickey) Bailey; grandchildren, Jalen Sizemore, Justin Choplin, Austin Choplin, Lauren (Kody) Hunter, Brandon Anderson; great-grandchildren, Easton Hunter, Owen Hunter; several sister-in-law’s, brother-in-law’s, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be 2:00 PM, Sunday, April 7, 2024 in the Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville with Rev. Chris Hauser officiating. Gentry Family Funeral Service of Yadkinville is serving the Choplin family.
