Carrie Holcomb Swaim

Boonville Mrs. Carrie Ann Holcomb Swaim, 79, passed away Monday, May 17, 2021 at Forsyth Medical Center. Mrs. Swaim was born April 12, 1942 to Cratie and Thelma Burcham Holcomb. She was a member of Swaims Baptist Church. Mrs. Swaim enjoyed her granddaughter and great grandson’s ballgames, cooking, and reading her bible. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Swaim was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Baby Bledsoe; two sisters, Linda (Charles) Hutson and Betty Murphy; brothers, Norris (Frances) Burcham, Raymond Burcham, David Lee Holcomb, and Spencer Bell Holcomb; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charlie Turner, Hal & Helen Robbins, Catherine Swaim, Essie Mae & Billy Ray Mathis, and Frankie & Grace Swaim. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Fred Swaim; two children, Debbie (Dale) Nixon and Dean (Lou) Swaim; granddaughter, Ashley (Ryan) Bledsoe; a great grandson, Ryman Bledsoe; two brothers, JW (Delphne) Holcomb and Donald Holcomb; brothers-in-law, Billy Murphy and Tommy (Darlene) Swaim; sister-in-law, Margaret Turner. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00PM, Friday, May 21, 2021 at Gentry Family Chapel in Jonesville with Rev. Gordon Macemore and Ricky Burcham officiating. Burial will follow at Swaims Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Gentry Family Funeral Service in Jonesville is serving the Swaim family.
